It is important to DEPOA to keep our community safe and informed to promote a good quality of life for our members.
With the recent floods the Fish House sustained substantial damage. The cables securing it were broken and it floated down a bit. Luckily there was one cable that prevented it from going further down and causing damage to boat docks nearby. With the help of our Donall volunteers, they were able to move the Fish House back in front of the park, however, it is currently unsafe to use. Please STAY OFF of the Fish House as it is unstable and dangerous. Also, please inform your children, family and/or guest, so that they are not tempted to go onto the Fish House. Again, it is VERY DANGEROUS and we want to keep everyone safe.
The High-Water Boat Ramp will be closed until further notice.
The High-Water Boat Ramp is also CLOSED due to unsafe conditions. There are cables that are being utilized to hold the Fish House in place as well as a lot of debris that makes launching any boats dangerous and it may damage your boat or truck.
According to Steve Bryson, the swimming platform is ready for use. A new ladder is needed because the old one is bent. Please be careful if you decide to go swimming. The water near the platform is shallow, so NO diving. There is also a lot of debris from the recent flood as well as a possibility of high bacteria levels in the water as well as fire ants at the park and floating on mats in lake. Please be careful.
